Lakeville UCC provided lunch for a group of bicyclists, led by Pastor Brian, who took a trip around Conesus Lake and raised $400 for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Lakeville United Church installed electric chargers as a gift to the community.  Usage of the chargers is free, but some users have chosen to donate to the church for their use.  In keeping with its mission spirit, the LUCC congregation has unanimously voted to contribute all proceeds from these donations to its on-going support of the Lakeville Community Pantry.Charge your vehicle, nourish your community!

LUCC’s Mission of the month is the Alzheimer’s Association. In addition, LUCC is working with the Association on a Bicycle Rally! Please support this important cause. We hope to see you on September 20th for a great Bike around the area followed by a light lunch!

It’s time for families to get ready for school as it will be starting again in about 3 weeks.  The excitement for many is the dread for others.  Not having enough available dollars to clothe and provide new shoes is all too real for many families in our community.  It was the suggestion of a now retired school caseworker that provided the stimulus for LUCC to start to provide shoes for some of the more children in need of footwear.
Through the past several years, LUCC has been able to supply Livonia School with gift cards to help students who needed shoes that fit.   Maya Angelou once said ” All God’s children need traveling shoes.”  Dee adds, “we want children to travel the road to success.”
If you would like to help us buy gift cards to give local children a foot up, please use a Mission envelope or write on your check  “Shoes.”   In 2024 we were able to buy 26 gift cards; the Mission Committee hopes we can increase that number this year.  We believe we can still offer $50 gift cards which should cover the cost of a pair of shoes or pay the larger portion of the price.
The Pantry has grown in the past several years.  In 2023, the Pantry had 767 visits with an average of 64 monthly visits.  In 2024, the annual visits numbered 947, with a monthly average of 79.  In the first 6 months of 2025, there have been 539 visits with a monthly average of 90 visits. The need continues to grow.  The LCP is fortunate for the support it receives from the community, both financially and with the non-perishables.
There is no summer meal program this year at the Livonia Central School; the pantry is looking for snacks, drink pouches, and fruits to provide extra treats for kids at home this summer.

Galatians 6:2 provides a clear call to action, urging believers to be proactive in helping others, rather than just passively observing their struggles.

Although small in numbers (39 active members) The Lakeville United Church of Christ is committed to helping others locally and around the world through Monthly Missions. Each month, members of the congregation donate time, money and material items to help change the lives of our neighbors near and far. We firmly believe that our mission is not only to love and assist  our congregation members, but to spread the love of Christ to all regardless of

In 2024, the Church gave back to our local community by donating food, clothing , and household items  as well as cash in the amount of $3950. We maintained our commitment as a “5 for 5” church by supporting the five major United Church of Christ Missions with cash donations totaling $1554.

Internationally, we donated a total of $720 to the Church World Services Blanket Fund.

July’s Mission is the Lakeville Community Food Pantry.  There will be a tote or the shopping cart available to drop items on each Sunday.  Currently the biggest Pantry needs are:  Paper towel, facial tissues, jelly, soups ( tomato, chicken noodle, vegetable beef and all kinds of hearty soups).  Snack foods for kids–fruits, crackers, pretzels, chips,  pouch-type drinks are also in need.
